“These incredible new successors to firm favourites from Audi Sport made their world debuts to great critical acclaim earlier in the year, and for their arrival in the UK we have created a range of market-specific equipment packages that fully capitalise on all that they have to offer,” says Director of Audi UK Andrew Doyle. “Whether they prefer the unadulterated brawn of the RS 6 or the more elegantly framed extremity of the RS 7, our customers can choose from four carefully considered UK specification options that show each model in its very best light.”
There is plenty of space for the driver and passengers in the RS7. The special RS7 displays have the Audi 12.3 virtual cockpit to give details of tyre pressure, torque, performance, oil temperature, boost pressure, lap times, acceleration, and g-forces. Vorsprung models give even more comfort, with features such as a panoramic glass sunroof, power door closure, Bang & Olufsen 3D audio and front and rear seat heating.
The Audi RS 7 Sportback has a V8 Twin-Turbo engine that produces 591 bhp. When paired with all wheel drive and eight-speed tiptronic transmission the RS7 can do 0-62mph in 3.6 secs and it can also accelerate to 124mph by the time 12 seconds have passed. The top speed is electronically governed at 155mph, and 174mph in the Vorsprung and Launch Edition specifications. There is a belt alternator which harvests energy when decelerating and stores it in the lithium-ion battery.
