Land Rover released information about the 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography prior to its Los Angeles Motor Show debut later this week. The model is the upper echelon of luxury, with list prices starting from £167,850. The news comes after the traditional 2018 Range Rover was revealed last month, with a Velar inspired body refresh that is synonymous with the SVAutobiography.
The exclusive vehicle is available in long-wheelbase form and is developed by the Special Vehicle Operations division of Land Rover. SVO have a clear focus on providing an opulent vehicle, with a rear seating experience that is considered ‘Executive Class’. Taking a look at the picture below, it is clear to see why.
As the vehicle is in long wheelbase format, rear passengers benefit from additional leg room. The rear seats feature additional padding for calf and foot resting, with the ability to recline up to 40 degrees. The passengers also get their own personal infotainment systems which feature data connection. Rear seats are heated, with a centre console that spans the length of the interior offering climate controls for passengers.
Drivers have several options to power the vehicle with an entry level 4.4-litre V8 diesel engine offering 335bhp. For the first time there is also an option for a plug-in hybrid powertrain, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor for 395bhp output. The top of the line power train is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 557bhp, available at a list price of £177,030.
